Cookie Policy

Scroll Shaders uses as little browser storage as it can: one essential cookie of our own, and Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. There are no advertising, social or cross-site tracking cookies.

What we set

• ss_session — a cookie set when you sign in, keeping you signed in for up to 30 days. HttpOnly (page scripts can't read it), sent only to scrollshaders.com over HTTPS. Signing out deletes it.
• ss_src (local storage, not a cookie) — where your first visit came from, such as a search engine or a campaign tag. It is sent to us only when you create an account. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.

Google Analytics

• _ga, _ga_* — set by Google Analytics to tell one visit from another, for up to 2 years. They hold a random id, not your name or email.

In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland these cookies are only set if you choose Allowon the prompt; until then Google Analytics receives anonymous, cookieless signals only. Elsewhere they are on by default. To change your mind, clear this site's data in your browser (the prompt will ask again), or use Google's opt-out add-on.

Local storage also keeps ss_consent (your choice) and ss_pending_checkout (the plan you chose, for a couple of hours, so the purchase can be counted when you return from checkout).

Third parties

Checkout happens on Dodo Payments' own pages, which set the cookies they need for payment and fraud prevention under their own policy. Previews load from our file storage, which sets no cookies.
